So my foray this summer into a multi-sub system with NAD M66 and DLBC didn’t end so well. What to do? Lucky me, my daughter has moved apartments and is sharing with two friends, and is obviously in dire need of a music reproduction system in her 2x4,5m bedroom. So I’ve searched high and low to put together a nice little system for her:

- a Wiim Ultra as source and preamp (which I expect to get with a 20% discount from my bank in October), streaming only from Tidal or Spotify, driving
- a pair of Fosi V3 Mono, which were a bargain directly from the company (@USD 224 incl. freight, less than half the cost from the Norwegian distributor, who are located a couple of miles from me), connected by a set of
- Nakamichi pre-terminated speaker cables - an esthetic choice to fit in with the colour scheme of the room, to a pair of
- Dali Oberon 5, in light ash, purchased with the discount I had originally used for the M66 (+ a pair of Oberon 7 for the cabin, to replace the Audiovectors)
- with the electronics to be perched on Topping SR2 desktop rack in order to keep things tidy on her desk

It might benefit from some sort of 'room correction' in that narrow long room. If she cares. Also some way to normalize output (I'm guessing there is some replaygain-like option in the streamer?)

Yes, I plan to do a quick check with HouseCurve and see if any adjustments below 200-400hz will be necessary. PEQ filters can be plugged straight into the Ultra. Speakers will be at approx. 3 meters firing length of room towards bed, and pulled out from wall when in use (ca. 40-50cm).
