How to geta good fit on Moondrop Kato iems.

This morning I removed my eartips from my Moondrop Kato iems and stretched 4 - 3.5 mm by 5.5 mm rubber o-rings over each nozzle. Then I installed 2 spinfit cp155 medium eartips. Other people may need different eartips. But these eartips are wide and long. I have ordered a 4 pack of large eartips to test them out as well. Be carefull not to break the 2 posts on the cable attached to the IEM. Another IEM that works excellently with these tips is the Truthear Zero Reds. No need to put o-rings on the zero reds. Can someone who uses Truthear Zero Reds tell me how they fit compared to the Truthear Hexas? I think the Hexas have a slightly smaller nozzle.

Neither are great examples of great fitting iem , at least not to me .

Zero has a really large and deep chonky shell plus huge nozzles making it hard to stay in place .

Hexa is thinner but still not well contoured on the inner face so again hard to stay in place .

I find both heavily reliant on very well fitted tips that need to be snug to keep things in place, rather than the shell doing the heavy lifting in the curves of your concha .

Jimbob50, I received the Hexas this afternoon and the are my best fit yet. The reds nozzles were slightly to big and the kato's just don't fit well. Is there a flagship truthear that will fit the same as the hexas? With the same size nozzle and better sound? I will do a search.

Is there a flagship truthear

The flagship Truthear is the Nova. It has a more contoured shell, so might fit better. I personally had no opportunity to test them, so can't say for sure.

The nova is their current flagship . Very harman compliant . Sleeker shape than the zero .

There is an incoming zero 2 that touts a smaller nozzle .

Tbh , just eq the hexa to what you want and enjoy
