I would like to see if I am doing this right in REW; I followed this video here for setting up most of REW:
And then beyond that, my question lies in how I am trying to fit in the correction to the EQ I have available. It's a 10 band octave type, where I can only change the gain on these ten frequencies (31, 62, 125, 250, 500, 1000, 2000, 4000, 8000, 16000).
I first get everything setup as shown in the first image, then I go to EQ filters and plug in those specific frequencies (see second image), then click "Optimise gains" (if I click "Match response to target" my frequencies will get wiped out), and then I'm only left with a few remaining filters (see third image.) Am I going about this correctly? Something is telling me I should instead be picking a different EQ model, like the 'Configurable PEQ' and then setting that up such that it only applies filters on the octaves, but maybe this is a different way of doing the same thing. Thanks in advance.
