how to eq harsh upper mid - high frequencies?

i think i did it!

I made a new measurement with Dirac but now with a tight pattern and changed the curve as you told me and now it sounds crazy good. Not only is the harshness almost gone (in some songs it's still there but not as harsh), the sound in general is much more linear and "right" sounding and not muffled! Fantastic!

Thanks to you all guys

I am glad I can help a little bit.

Sorry for jumping in this thread but when searching I found this & similar to my room problem. I'm stuck on layout & got to make best of it. Trying to follow something sorta Toole approved by doing it.. Seems he is ok with shelve tilt above Schroeder .? I did find a combo of Dirac & the Elysia Xfilter that makes it easier for me to shelve. I have the Dirac running to 390-400 then curtained off & shelve tilted down from 700hz 1.5db with the Elysia. I wish I could just do it simply in Dirac but.... This room will give harsh result with most any speaker combo that I've had in here.
Is mixing the Dirac & Elysia not something I should be doing .?
