JT7 vs Edition XS
So which value king is better?
Both have their distortions, XS is full of ringing and rustling, and JT7's one driver cracks on subbass (just like Mr.Boizoff detected by measuring both drivers). So byebye, consistency.
JT7 is so small, look at the picture. I wouldn't say it's more comfortable, the pads accomodate ears, but they're itchy and clamping force is high. What's better is top of the head pressure combined with the lower weight. Build is simple, but probably better than notoriously cheap XS build.
JT7 is less demanding, 70% of volume needed on QX13 vs XS. "Soundstage" bit smaller, but works well in
3d imaging test. Not so detailed as it's simply mid centric. You get to hear vocals better, all kind of warm. Similar decent bass, bigger difference in brightness. Placement of headphones matters much more than on Edition XS. It weirdly blocks some outside noise, while XS is full passthrough. Some micro rustle at 5000Hz. IEMs at this cost would outdwarf them both in sound and driver quality. I'll keep JT7 just to pay less for flaws and JT7 is actually less flawed

And it has better latency than Maxwell
