The subs are connected to a denon 3800h, I had a sb 3000 and another sb 1000 pro, difference back then was I left them in always on vs the auto standby mode, when the sub goes into standby it starts making the coil whine like noise that immediately stops when I wake the sub up with the app, I have had 4 amps off svs and its there in all of them.
Svs response was "This is related to the power supply load changing when the amplifier comes out of "Standby", and is within the expected tolerance levels for this amplifier." They couldn't explain why it was happening in standby constantly and not when just changing from standby, at night I listen at very low volumes so the subs are constantly going into standby as it was too low to register a bass signal, always on sorted it but I'm not overly happy about their response as it seems more like a design fault if that really is the case.
Richer sounds wouldn't take the return as they say if svs can't find or don't deem it a problem then it's £70 per item that I would have had to pay, a return without checking to them would have incurred a 15% restocking fee, I paid £1050 so it's a decent chunk to lose.
