How do you sort (organise) your CDs, LPs, K7s, Tapes; physical medias

Do you still keep the physical disks with liner notes booklet, after ripping, systematically in your shelves?
I assume this would be the main inquiry of OP @Harmonie, right?
I do scan the booklets at very high quality. I also upload them to Discogs. I despise the fact many artists don't provide the booklet if you don't buy the CD at nearly the same price.

Well understood!
I too do scan "some of" the whole booklets of my CDs, SACDS, DVDs; for LPs, I sometimes take HiRes (6720x4480) photos using my Canon EOS 5D Mk-IV DSLR camera. :)

I scan the top cover (artwork/cover art) of all the disks to be incorporated into my digital music library.

I have already given up, however, to scan all the whole booklets of my about 3,600 CDs (plus SACDs, DVDs) because of the possible time strain.

I also start considering possible donation of my entire physical disk library to one music school in college/university together with my ripped (uncompressed) digital library in SSD and HDD for their possible educational utilization. Having the actual physical disk library, there should be no IPR (Copy Right) issue in their use of the ripped digital library in music education, I believe.

Some portions of my disk library consist of very minor early classical music released by rather indie label small (already disappeared) companies which would not be available now and in the future in physical disk and in download digital formats, as I shared/touched (typical example cases #72, #73, #140) some of those in my thread entitled "Lute Music and Other Early Music: Stunning Recordings We Love".

Same here, scanning most all of the booklets to the drive.
Minimally I highly recommend scanning also back of the case, this way you can always check and find out exactly what mix-release it is. ;)
