Russian:
  • Speaker: Громкоговоритель. Loanword from English, literally "loudspeaker", though it's a formal and old-fashioned word that can also mean "megaphone". Colloquially, everyone says колонки or "columns", regardless of size.
  • Headphones: Наушники. Literally, "on-ears", and also plural like in English. Same word is used for the earflaps of a winter hat.
  • Turntable: Проигрыватель. "Player". A dated word that's still in use. Less formally, you would say вертушка, "twirler" or "pinwheel".
  • Vinyl: Виниловая пластинка. "Vinyl plate". Where English mostly drops the second part of the word, Russian drops the first, and so you'd call it a пластинка.
  • Amplifier: Усилитель. "Booster", "strengthener" or "reinforcer".
  • DAC: Цифро-Аналоговый Преобразователь, ЦАП. "Numero-Analogue Converter". ЦАП is a very cool-sounding word.
  • Snake Oil: Фуфло. "Hoax", "fake", "bullshit". This is one of the more polite ways to say it.
Lots of audio-related words are loanwords. Like "woofer" is Russified into вуфер, and "driver" generally is динамик ("dynamic").

Loudspeaker - hilkher (הילכער)
Headphones- khedfunz (כעדפאָונז)
Vinyl- vaynal (וויינאַל)
High End cable manufacturer- ligner (ליגנער)
הילכער shows "bullhorn" in the Yiddish dictionary. Does it literally mean the horn of a bull?

No, it really is closer to a loudspeaker. When I was a child and that's the language we spoke at home, this is how everyone referred to the horn on the radio and the record player.

No rhytmik slang?

Oh Baby, i like your vinyl.
Let me be your headphone.
I'am the owner, the owner of a high end kabel.
Who, Who cares about a analog Speaker?
I, know we need now a good old digital, analog conversation.
Let“s DAC. ; )

Not my mother tongue but my second language (German):

"Lautsprecher" (translation obvious) or the much more amusing Denglisch (Deutsch-Englisch) word "Boxen" (plural of "Box").

Amplifier: "Verstärker" (something like "strenghthener" translated literally) or "Endstufe" ("end stage" i.e. power amp).
