I sold now my bass traps to replace them with something else. the two new subs (Arendal 1723 1S) should arrive on monday. MiniDSP is ready.
The bass trap discussion is this here: https://www.audiosciencereview.com/...asonable-or-am-i-doing-something-wrong.39084/
Which also contains a picture of the front (where the TV is). Behind the TV is this big cupboard(?) and i thought i could start with that and just put as many diffusors or absorbers on it as possible. But how do i know if i need absorber or diffusor. And as i want to reduce RT60 (i dont need to measure it, its i guess at about 1 second now :D), does it even make a difference?
And will absorbers behind the TV even help, because i guess the waves are already reflected at the TV and never reach the absorber then.
As i live in the EU, i will probably buy all from thomann.de and maybe start with something like https://www.thomann.de/de/the_t.akustik_sa_n30_18pc_set.htm for the cupboard.
There it says: main frequence is at 2.5khz, does that also improve RT60 <2.5khz or should i go with something else?
Any advice is appreciated!
