How can I independently EQ 4 speakers on PC?

Hello everyone,

I want to try making some speakers that fit my needs. I plan on having 2 Faital Pro 4FE42's and 2 One Audio IB2 15's. I want to be able to eq all of these speakers with a software like equalizer apo with peace.

How can that be done? I used to have some Kali Audio IN8's and I wanted to add a subwoofer for some more bass extension, so I had bought a motu m4 because I thought I could route the 3/4 line outs into a sub amp I had. I was able to, but I couldn't eq or phase align the sub, without affecting the IN8's. Maybe there is a way to do so, but at the time, I didn't know how.

I have a motu m2 at the moment, and I'm pretty sure I would need a 4 channel interface right? Any recommendations would help greatly thank you!

Welcome to ASR! I'm actually looking at this currently. Other members have confirmed you can do it with an M4, I think it is possible in EQAPO but the channel selection / routing is not necessarily super intuitive.

For multichannel, I've also seen the MOTU Ultralite MK5, arturia AudioFuse Studio, various MiniDSP interfaces, and Okto Dac8 recommended.

One thing to note is that the M4 doesn't have volume control on the 3/4 outputs (it's line out only) so you need to use the OS volume control, or an inline volume control of some kind if you're not using a PC.

Oh ok, I'll have to look into what can be done with EQAPO. In terms of the M4 not being able to control the volume on 3/4, that is something I would definitely want. My plan is to use the volume knob on the interface to control my amps for my speakers.

EqualizerAPO allows per-channel processing. There should be a description in the forums for the software.
