How about the Denafrips Ares 12th-1?

Long story short,

I own a Beresford Caiman SEG with the brick that the guy calls I don't remember what, basically a bunch of caps which are supposed to improve I don't know what as the object, the SEG, literally sucks not to mention I deeply hate how it looks with all those LEDs, knob, headphone plug etc and, top of it all, every bitrate change there is a click which bothers me to the bone.

I finally upgraded to an Ares 15th and even tho I used it a little as I had to dismantle it all to restore the paint job over the wall where the music system is I am looking forward to enjoy it soon but also to get rid of the Beresford and get something else for my second system, found an used Ares 12th-1 but before I go with an offer I would like to know from those who use(d) it your impressions especially compared to other DACs in the same price range, is it worth betting on the 12th-1, would it be close to the 15th sound wise?

The 15th anniversary editions Denafrips are basically what used to be the higher level 12th from the last generation. The Pontus 15th for example is a Last Generations Venus.

So if you can afford it go with the 15th edition

I bought the Ares 15th new, now I found an used 12th-1 and wondering if it would be a good choice to replace the Caiman SEG in my second system, wondering the real differences between 12-1 and 15

The Beresford might be the best sounding DAC in the Milky Way and still I won't bother, just wanna get rid of it, reasons are too many to list but for my second system I thought to make an offer for this used Ares 12th-1 and wondering how it compares to the 15th which I bought off the store but still haven't had the chance to listen in depth
