I’m not a speakers guy so I get spared the worst of it (
236 kilo each - but each unit is two pieces which makes it more manageable. Ships in a plywood crate. They are about 150kg-200kg each by the way.

When I was young (decades ago...) fairs were accessible to everyone and for all budgets. These are not even "luxury" fairs, but mockeries (if we write here on ASR and not on other forums, there must be a reason...).Exhibitions and trade fairs always worked really well for me when I was young.
That’s good to know for @Pearljam5000 - He told me the other day his back is hurting him at times.236 kilo each - but each unit is two pieces which makes it more manageable. Ships in a plywood crate.
Lol my back does hurtThat’s good to know for @Pearljam5000 - He told me the other day his back is hurting him at times.
He also asked me earlier today to place an order on his behalf. Glad that his speaker hunt is over and his finance has improved.
Genelec has its American headquarters.Remember that Amir has to ship them back too. With current shipping troubles and tariffs, this would be no small project.
How about a rich partner? I mean, for a pair of 8381, age, gender, physic and appearance don’t matter….Lol my back does hurt
And I'm considering selling a kidney to buy them.
They're the end game of all end games
As you need veils anyway not to be scared to death by the speakers staring in your direction at night, you can carry on hiding the donor. How about a rich partner? I mean, for a pair of 8381, age, gender, physic and appearance don’t matter….
It's less big in whiteAs you need veils anyway not to be scared to death by the speakers staring in your direction at night, you can carry on hiding the donor.
He can always justify he needs to be blindfolded to test his speakers. At least he is not seeing his partner while listening to music. As you need veils anyway not to be scared to death by the speakers staring in your direction at night, you can carry on hiding the donor.
Your partner posing?

There's nothing intimidating about them, there are way taller and bigger ones around, even their big mains are more intimidating than these.
Haha, don’t get me wrong— I’d love to have some speakers but my neighbors probably wouldn’t! I’ll still audition some of course, but without the possibility for now of having a proper setup myself, I find myself lacking the experience and passion to call myself a "speaker guy". As for the germaphobia, yeah, I understand that… I’d rather not thing about it too much and eagerly await my showerDamn. Feels like it would be sort of a shame to not be a speaker guy and be at one of these shows.
I admit that trying on various earphones at audio shows, putting on my head something plenty of other strangers have been placing on their head, gives me the heebie-jeebies.
Some germaphobia left over from Covid I guess.
Well of course, but I was addressing the customer's opinion, not the dealers. When your customers can spend an unlimited amount of money it makes sense to try to sell them as much as you possibly can.

Very funny! A simple like button was not enough to honor itAre you all sure this is not a money laundering scheme?
