Hifiman XS vs Ananda stealth headband fit difference for medium sized head

The 11.11 sale is coming up and was planning buying whichever the cheapest but started to have doubts after reading/watching the reviews. Does anyone have measurements of the earcup size so i can make a test fit out of cardboard?

The XS have swivel but people reported nonexistent clamping force and needing to pad the headband so it seals and fits on smaller/medium sized heads. The other hand the ananda stealth lacks swivel but it seals and fits way better because of the way higher clamping force with suspended headband design. I'm really torn between the two beause of the headband. Cannot try them on as the closes shop is the other side of the country.

I use an athletic headband as a strap on my XS, just looped around, which works fine for me. It's just on there, not attached though I could do that if I used my headphones more. I have to adjust it each time, but it works.

You an also get legitimate after market suspended headband designs that will stay in place, but cost a bit more than free (I had a headband). So I would not let that be the factor in my decision. It's easier to add a strap than swivels.

Can you ask the business, stating you will buy one, to send you one with the option of a return/exchange/price difference? They might be willing to give you an option if what you choose does not work for your head, given a guaranteed sale. Worth asking.
