Hifiman Sundara Review (headphone)

I just got these because they're so popular and wanted to try something other than Sennheiser... I don't have anything above the HD 599 so should be a step up.

Sorry if I write in the wrong thread as I couldn't find one for Sundara Closed-Back version.

My friend has Sundaras but Closed-Back version. He needs to find replacement earpads for them.

He ordered some from this auction, and even though on photos they appear to be compatible with Sundara-C, when they arrived, they weren't.

They have 4 big pins, and I assume they would fit for many Hifiman models, but not Sundara-C.

His earpads have 6 small pins:

We found only 1 auction with them, but they are sold out, and twice the price of other earpads.

Does anyone know where can we find relatively cheap ones that would fit? Or if any earpads from other headphone models would fit?

You probably ordered the wrong thing with the first offer, as I can't see any ear pads for Sundara-C.
My Google search immediately turned up these Sundara C Earpads for Hifiman Sundara-C Ear Pads Headpad Sheepskin Comfortable for under €10.

If the old ones are broken, you can use standard ear pads of the correct diameter, which are simply slipped or glued onto the plastic parts. There should be hundreds of these available; only the outer diameter needs to match, as shown in the picture.
The standard ear pads have a rim on the back where the ear hooks slide underneath.
Perhaps you can pull out the ear hooks from the ear pads you received and use those. Alternatively, you could 3D print the ear hooks yourself.

That's the only seller that has it(I already linked it before that it was out of stock, but it seems they resupplied it).

It's strange that I can't find replacement even on Hifiman website.

I managed to find this video so it seems there is just lack of these 6 pin mounts with earpads, so we must reuse the old mount or 3d print a new one and add 100mm earpads.
