Decided to try the Edition XS (currently $209 on Amazon) in my quest to upgrade my Senn 560s. I brought up some of my mixes and found immediately the dead-centered kick drum leaned a little to the left in the soundstage. I checked connections on both the headphones and my Topping DX5 II. No issues. I was worried at first because I thought I might have a hearing issue that these phones were bringing to my attention. After testing them at Audiocheck, and with my other HPs, I found these indeed favor the left-hand drivers. It's subtle, but definitely there.
These are new headphones, not used or refurbished. Needless to say they're going back. Sad that inspection didn't catch it.
