So I've been running the £202 HE6se v2 for a couple of days and have to say I'm surprised by how much more low-down "punch" they seem to have compared to the Ananda, seemingly without compromising on anything else I already like about my other hifiman sets. They definitely are power hungry, I'm running them on high gain on the DX5-II and they only start to get uncomfortably loud when I'm nearing 0db, but that said the comfortable band for me is -20 to -15db, so that's all good.
The only other thing to say is that they are quite a bit heavier than my other Hifiman sets, and I quickly got pressure points on the top of my head from the headband, but I liked the sound enough to keep them, so I splurged another £20 on the custom cans comfort head strap. I fitted it yesterday and have worn them all day today and no more hot spots, so worth every penny, and nothing to complain about, and certainly not at this price point.
