Hi, I ordered a set of Hifiman HE1000 stealth and I am looking for a DAC/AMP combo, ideally an all-in-one box. Recently I have read a lot about the subject and understand that nowadays you don't need to spend a lot of money to get a good quality product. I will use my HP solely on my desktop computer (Windows PC), so if needed I will have access to equalization (equalizerAPO+PEACE).
I shortlisted the Schiit Magni Unity (279€) and the Hifiman EF600 (700€, but 575€ black friday special). I am open to other suggestions of AIO's.
I understand the EF600 is more powerful and has a XLR output, but given the HP specs, do I really need those from a scientific point of view? Would that benefit me in any way sound-wise?
I dont mind spending the extra cash if needed, but I have no way to test them before purchase where I live, so my purchase will be final. I don´t want to spent more just for looks sake, but I also don't want to be left with something "less good" knowing I could have spent a bit more for a better option.
