Thanks for the info, its a bit weird to not be able to sync music... but I guess they did what they were allowed to do.
To be able to download music from streaming services needs a full android based system, cheapest way to get into that would be the Fiio JM21 or hiby m300 at around £150

I use Qobuz, not Tidal, but it's a very basic "App". Not really an app actually, more a feature of HiByOS (Hidizs, Tempotec, HiBy of course, and a few other obscure DAPs). It's very possible that Tidal/Qobuz restricted the features tehy could implement, but the processing power could also be a constraint: these are not smartphones !!! ...and things like encrypting/decrypting offline tracks to Tidal and Qobuz' satisfaction may be non-trivial...

The Hidizs AP80ProMax is so much of a better unit than my xDuoo X5, which was tested/reviewed/failed at ASR (2025/July).
You can actually hear the audible improvements but also the size, design, features, controls, responsiveness and its UI... miles apart.

Hidizs >> Kudos!:)
xDuoo >> Shame on you!

Per Hidizs marketing stuff, it supports HiByLink (like most HiByOS DAPs), which allows remote control through BT or WiFi, from another device running HiByMusic—can be an iOS, Android, or another HiByOS device. An iPad with HiByMusic will do.
Excellent suggestion! I tried it tonight from my iPhone: HiByLink has fair search criteria for albums and bands…now next will be physical wired connections between the AP80 Pro balanced 2.5 mm out and the Topping HPA…Will search for cable…However, even the AP80 Pro unbalanced output drives my Truthear $ 17 IEM w sufficient power output…might consider purchasing the newer Hidsz DAP…

Just ordered one on the Hidisz web site, $ 189 and free shipping to the U.S. Northeast, planning to make it a server for my music collection. Not sure I will invest in a 2TB SD card ($309!), we will see.

Just got mine today. It took a while, as Hidisz says it was on vacation for two weeks. Impeccable fit’n finish, will need time to learn some of its functions. Plan to use it as a mini server with large capacity TF card for my FLAC music collection, and iPad to access and sort content.

Hey mine just arrived and I've been trying to use it as a DAC for my pc, but no matter what I do it has a very noticeable delay between the audio and video. Is this normal?
Unfortunately, that's the way it is. Not just this DAP, as you can search many people with various DAP said the same thing when they use them as a wired DAC. In my experience, the delay is actually better in bluetooth mode than wired mode.
