Hi would adding a external DAC to the wiim ultra streamer make a difference? Like will it improve the music/sound to worth spending on a external DAC?

The DAC I'm looking at is the topping D90 111 sabre listed at £899.

Set up will be -

Speaker - Wharfedale Linton, Amp - 2×Topping B200, Streamer - wiim ultra, Subwoofer - SVS PB2000 Pro or SVS SB2000 pro

Do I need to add a external DAC to the setup?

Wiim ultra's dac is excellent. Nice setup btw. Use that money elsewhere, for a measurement mic for instance, it's tedious to integrate a subwoofer properly.

As said above, you won't improve your sound by adding a DAC. The WiiM is already better than you can hear.

Second the suggestion to get a measurement microphone to use with your WiiM's roomfit feature.

You will get zero improvement from an external Dac, once again the Wiim ultra is already excellent. It's better to get 2 subs, bass management is a complicated thing, having 2 subwoofers helps you achieve a more even response in the room. If you really have some money you can also buy a room correction (dsp) device like a minidsp device with a dirac licence for instance, that'll be even easier to manage the bass response.
One question, what have you already bought? What's your room size?

What's your budget? And again, what's your room size? Cos if you havennt set up anything yet, people here will love giving you advice from the ground up. Lintons are great, topping b200x2 too, but really that's not what most people would choose here as a combo for that kind of money, there are better solutions imo.
Cos right now your budget seems to be around 3500-4500€, you can get some end game stuff with that kind of money.
