Just needed to know if there was an alternative or better way to set up a new Edifier T5 subwoofer in my use case.

I have a Fiio K7 connected to my PC. I have Edifier 1280DBS speakers connected to the Fiio K7.

And now I've connected the Edifier T5 subwoofer to the parent 1280DBS speaker via subout cable.

It's working as is but there's another cable provided which could connect the subwoofer directly to the Fiio K7?

With the setup as is I'm controlling the volume of everything via the Fiio K7 which is convenient

With the T5 I've set both volume and Frequency dials to 12. It's a medium sized study room and is under my main desk. Phase toggled to 180.

Just needed reassurance more than anything unless I've missed something glaringly obvious

I would have run RCA cable from the K7's (RCA) Pre-out/LO, to the (RCA) line input on the Edifier T5.
And run RCA cable from the Edifier T5's (RCA) line-output, to the (RCA) line input on the Edifier 128DBS.
This would allow the sub-woofer to directly control the signal split using the LPF knob.
With your current setup, the Edifier 128DBS is copying the low end signal output that the Edifier T5 is also outputing, which I believe is not needed (or wanted?).
With the setup I recomended, the Edifier 128DBS's woofer would have a slightly easier job, as it does not have to produce those lower end freq.

Thanks so much, I will give that a try to see what it gives.
