Help with fomo - JBL 4645C Subwoofer

Any recommendations to the power cable or power outlet? i dont see the xti1002 drawing more than 6A. Atleast thats what crown quotes. Mine is a 10-13A supply wiring. Shouldn’t be an issue i guess?

with that graph from JBL they had a steep filter cut set at 25hz instead of 20hz. Yes, your response is definitely awesome. One guy in youtube even recorded extension upto 8hz flat corner loading and applying b6 with 2 4645C’s.
Aha, that explains a lot :)
8hz, D-mn !

There is guy from Norway that plastered his wall with 2242.
The idea was kind of Single bass array, but here are not much info.
Like 16 36 transducers in small sealed boxes

seen this as well
one doesn’t stop in the audio field we want more and more

25Hz , Q bandwidth 2 , +6dB

sure i will
One thing i forgot to mention.
It is a good idea to add a bit of filling inside the enclosure.
JBL has just added a thin layer.

Also the tuning is not at 25hz, it is 27hz - with some added filling it will lower.

This sub can take plenty of power. Tried as suggested here crown 2502 in bridged mode to single sub and improvement is really audible. Bass has now reference quality, deep, punchy, present, great on low listening volume, also 1st time seen than transducer started go alive (vibrates).

That's what we want to hear,!! On paper your idea of two subs with one XLS 2502 was perfect. Now you have to order a second one. Definitely not the cheapest option. Or, If you still can sand it back you should take two 1502. Bridged they word well!!

As everyone here suggested, these jbls need good power. Return the 2502 and get 2 1502. Or for the best, add another 2502. With 2 subs, they should be coasting around with insane headroom. And get a minidsp 2x4HD if you dont have any other dsp in chain

Exactly, it will be quite expensive combo (2x2502) but definitely worth it! :) Stunning clean bass, I'm really positively surprised by this jbl model. Super musical bass (no resonances, slowness or typical HT subs issues) and even still w/o DSP.

No wonder why
It uses one of the best woofers ever made, 2242HPL. Very low Qts and the famous jbl midbass

With two 4645c and two 1502. You'll have ,+6dB compare to me. I've never been dared to crank it up to the max. Far from it. So I'm totally sure it will be enough. Now it you want to go 2x2502. Go but I don't think you'll ever see the difference.
I was surprised as well about how subtle the sub ça play. We could agree it doesn't really seem "subtle"! I really would like to replace the 2242h by a 2269H one day, just to try out!

Off topic: Speaking of great subwoofers I want to share that I had another amazing experience with a sub. This was the Neumann kh 750 DSP. In a near field configuration, it's simply awesome for musical contents. Really impressive. I installed one at my friend office with a paire of JBL 705p.

2269H would basically be indistinguishable for you since you are not even close to driving the 2242H to its limits. Granted 2269H has lower distortion at full chat but would you hear that loud?

I was even planning to buy a single 5628(with dual 2269H woofers). That would have easily beat a single 4645C but it costed 4 times the price. And its way too huge that it would be tiring. Even the 4645C is abnormally huge for a home theatre room

I have a good feeling that 4645C actually disrupted the sales of both the 4641 and 5628 thats why may be they discontinued the 4645C. Obviously 4 4645C> single 5628 so most theatre installers preferred to install multiples of 4645Cs
