Hi guys! Long time lurker here but first time posting.

So, it looks like im dead set about buying some Genelec 8330 + 7350 subwoofer, to be used for computer audio (general usage. Music, movies, videogames, etc). As it seems that for very nearfiled usage (sub-1 meter) they are ideal AND with GLM I don't need to learn to apply room correction.

The thing is that I would like to have some sort of interface that does everything I need regarding audio. Currently Im using a Topping DX3 Pro that works perfectly for my headphones + active monitors, but since I'm upgrading my monitors I would like to take the opportunity to get something with at least more I/O as I'd like to plug in my mic.

So, what I'm looking for is...
-An interface
-With coax out for the Genelecs (I've read through this forums that using a 75-to-110ohm converter I can basically use the AES connection without issue)
-With headphone amp for ... well... my headphones
-With mic in .
-The cherry on top (but not really required) would be to support Dolby 5.1 so that If I ever get 2 more Genelec monitors I can use surround with the computer.

Any suggestions? I have checked a ton of reviews here but I'm not sure I have yet found something that covers all bases.

Thanks a ton, and happy easter for those that celebrate it.

The list you supplied is pretty well covered with all interfaces except for this one. Dolby 5.1 is a PC thing, it depends on whatever app you are using supports Dolby 5.1 and is able to output to your interface via ASIO (preferred) or WASAPI Exclusive. There are no interfaces I am aware of that natively support Dolby anything.

Interfaces are very versatile devices, I have never regretted getting mine. I keep finding new uses for it, and I am sure that if I ever need to, I could find even more. The usual recommendations on ASR are: RME, Motu, and Focusrite. Lynx is also well regarded. And Merging if you have a lot of money.

The digital input for the Genelec 8330 is AES/EBU, so you might need a converter cable depending on which interface you get. For e.g. the RME Fireface UCX has MIDI out, so you need MIDI to AES/EBU.

There are 5.1 channel soundcards and the surround decoding is normally done in software.
