They’re different. Both good, I think the Sennheiser are comfier, but this is very subjective…

What’s not subjective is that the 560s, at your budget point, would be a great choice in the active driver department to complement your planar.
Unless you can buy from drop in the US, and get a pair of HD6xx, there is no other product, as far as I know, that offer this level of detail, good frequency response (a refined FR respect to previous “HD5” headphones), fantastic comfort in a tossable shell that will sustain heavy use, all at around 200$.

For me, the HE400se are better, bigger soundstage, better separation, better imaging. The HD560s have better bass and are more comfortable (the HE400se are quite heavy).

I don't have the HE400SE (I have the older HE400i, and I also have the HD560S), but I wouldn't say that the HD560S has better bass than the 400i - at all. The bass on the HD560S to me feels precise and just the right amount, but the HE400i has clearly more (and probably better, faster) bass.

@shot4d the HD560S are great for gaming (seriously good for gaming) and they can get very analytical. I think they tick most of your boxes.
