Ok the Helix dsp Pro is a great bit of kit but it falls short a few ways compared to minidsp (8x12)
1) time alignment only up to 20ms
2) max crossover slope is 36db octave - no 48db slopes (butterworth48, etc)
3) no biquad option that I can see
4) no IIR filtering available
MiniDSP are limitless in the proccessing potential but the software is ugly and verbose in its usage. I guess you can't have everything.
