Help picking closed back headphones after 8 years

My friends, a pair of Beats sound nicer than those DT770's.
I have those 250ohm DT770's, I know what I'm talking...
I don't know why you recommend them, these are headphones that require a lot of effort to make them sound acceptable.
I've listened to a pair of Beats Studio and they're really miles ahead.

all this "fake leather" stuff is crappy IMHO, but what can you do when everybody has it...

The FiiO FT1 closed back works well with glasses (Thicker frame vs. thin frame did not change anything) they are fairly inexpensive ($175 or so) and are popular. Like others mentioned.

My Picks in this range in no order:
FiiO FT1
Audeze Maxwell
Sennheiser HD620
Austrian Audio HI-X60

I’m absolutely nuts about the Senn HD 620s for closed back listening. The midrange doesn’t have quite the depth of the open back HD 600, but like them are a total pleasure and never fatiguing, which, to me, is the most important criterion. They also take well to eq and have a better bottom end than the 600s. In addition, not sure how senn managed it but your ears don’t get hot.
