I’m having a bit of a dilemma on choosing active monitors.
I have Neumann KH120’s hooked up to an Opus Quad dj controller in one room. It’s a large room measuring 6m x 4m with a 10 foot high vaulted ceiling. It’s a multi purpose room with no sound treatment. The Neumann’s are fine for djing but I feel they are a bit lost for general music listening. I have them close to the wall along the 4m side.
My second room is untreated and I dabble in music production and general music listening here. Currently have a pair of Adam d3v’s hooked up to a computer and Topping DX5 II.
I’m looking to either buy monitors for the second room or move my Neumanns into here and buy monitors for the other room.
So far I’m looking at second hand Genelec 8040B’s, new Genelec 8330’s and new Kali Audio in-8’s.
Just looking for some advice on what I’m considering or should I also be considering other options.
