Hi all,

I just got this old Thorens turntable. In bad condition, but surely worth fixing it. But the first step is to know which model it is.
No model number anywhere, even under the case.

Any idea ?

Thanks for your help.

Ok thanks. Is it easy to get spare parts ? Cover ? Belt ? Head ? etc

It is most definitely worth restoring. A lovely item. Works just as well as any number of more prestigious units.

Covers are available on eBay, just check the dimensions. Belts ditto, and if by Head, you mean the cartridge, then again no problem. Probably the best value for money these days is a new Audio Technica, but if you want to be historically accurate, you could get a Shure cartridge body on-line and buy a replacement stylus, or just buy a replacement stylus for the cartridge already fitted, assuming it works. If by Head you mean the headshell, and yours does look somewhat bent, they are available again on eBay.

Belt yes, all other parts only on the used market

Depends where you are located. In Germany for example there is a company (https://plattenspieler-reparatur.de/thorens-ersatzteile/) that is doing restoration of Thorens turntables. And there is a forum (https://www.analog-forum.de/) where you could ask for spare parts. Maybe similar exists in other countries as well.

I live in France, I'll check out eBay and other sites like french Craigslit equivalent.

Thanks all for your help.
