Help me decide what speaker to build :)

Haha, im surprised aswell. And yes my thoughts exactly, without digital dsp i probably wouldnt bother to try this. Imagine soldering in and out resistors/capacitors for every eq change.... I will give updates when i get around to building something. Probably in november.
Cool. I'm interested to see how your project goes, especially if you go the coaxial route. I've always wanted to work with that Seas driver, but always got distracted away by other options.

OK - pick what is important to you in terms of performance.
Sounds like SPL is NOT as you want near filed monitors.

Aside from cabinet diffraction to consider, and an inert box, I already mentioned an active XO or DSP XO as being potentially easier/faster.

I went the coaxial route. I build the seas kingroy mk3 kit and it sounds as good as i could imagine. To me they sound on par to One25A, imaging is even better because of the coaxial design. I heard the One25a at the superbooth last year. I moved to a bigger space and they are now in my living room/studio. I have to do some more room treatment but it already sounds very good. They have a lot of headroom, my ears get uncomfortable before they distort when I listen to bassheavy music. I use the dsp preset provided by seas and then the input eq of the hypex amp to make the sound pleasing to my ears and improve the bass response at the listening position. When im done treating the room i want to create my own filters to make sound at the listening position even more accurate. The kit is soo worth its price, about 3400€ and i had the cabinet made by a company that does professional cnc cutting. Very happy with the results :) Also glad i didnt go with the purifi + satori drivers, that speaker would have been bigger, heavier, harder to build, not coaxial and more expensive....
