Help me convert old speakers to actives

Going up a steep learning curve of REW, Hypex Fiter Design, WinISD and many other things. Slowly getting better.

Normal power cable. In the pic it is just not connected yet.

Would have been nice!
I suppose it is possible just to tap into the AC power terminals inside the amp box. I will consider this in Step 2.

Ok, this could be the reason for unusual, but under these conditions, correct SPL.
To linearize the tweeter you could insert (on top of lowpass) a shelf filter to attenuate up to 8 kHz and above let run free.
There seems to be two ways to do it:
- shelf to attenuate below 8k and run as is overall
- shelf to raise above 8k and attenuate overall
For no particular reason I did the latter. What will be the difference between the two methods above?

I am waiting for the delivery of the bass drivers tomorrow. The cabinet works are awaiting my return from holiday in Utah (also known as a drivers shopping trip).

Thank you for your very kind offer! I think I will stick with the SB ones as they have a waveguide.

Man I'd love to take two of the 7" variety of these and put them in a "balanced force" configuration and make an awesome full range speaker with one of those DSP plate amps from Hypex.

That's 4+4 Ohm drivers. A couple could be driven with coils in series and drivers parellel with nominal 4 Ohm to one amp, or, extrem snake oiled, one two-channel FA for each driver (or a 1.4 kW Purify and MiniDSP)

These 5.5 inch feel built like a tank and the suspension is very stiff. Looking at the coil the wire looks thick. The spider has narrowing wave towards the middle. I can’t wait to install and flex them with some music.
The rest of the drivers ordered and should be there when I arrive back from US with the Epiques. Cabinet rebuild is next. I need a solid baffle.
