Help me choose new speakers

Hi everyone family new to this site and hoping to deepen my understanding of all things audio. I have a CXA81 MK11 and Alba TT turntable in a square living room about 5m by 5m. I don’t want floor mounted speakers and they need to be relatively close to walls - in essence I am looking for speakers which aren’t really dependent on placement. I have been considering Kef 350, Q Acoustics 3030i, Wharfedale Evo 4.1 (so about that price range) Any recommendations/knowledge/insight gratefully appreciated

There is an element of personal preference to choosing speakers, so it can be tricky to recommend. The three that you have shortlisted are all pretty good, with the Kef's measuring the best then the Wharfdales (as far as I can tell).
That's not to say you would or should prefer the Kefs.

What kind of music do you like, how far from your speakers do you typically sit and how loud do you like to listen? Do you sit in one place, or do you want good sound in more places? What is important to you; bass, vocal etc?
Some speakers have a narrow 'sweet spot' so you are limited in where you can sit, others sound good but break up at higher volumes.

A bit more information from you would help, but from your short list I'd like the Kefs (but that's just me)

your only real question should be how much do you actually want to spend. secondary is depending on what amp you have will your new speakers sound good or will they sound similar to your last ones hooked up to same amp.

i have gone through speakers like candy through the years. a nice floor standing might be what you are looking for since i have seen them be less dependent on listening location. smaller bookshelf speakers tend to really have a direction for listening i think from my experience with them. have you considered monitor audio?
