Hello audio enthusiast, I need help to build a setup for a 7x4 meters room that is used for games, movies and music, but what I care the most is music.
The plan is to make it surround so it should be:
- 2 towers and the center speaker at the front
- 2 side speakers
- 2 back speakers
- 1 subwoofer

I live in chile so I dont have that many options but from what I have found I ended up choosing this 2 options for the towers:
- WHARFEDALE EVO 5.4 (I think this is the better option)
- Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-5000F II

For the back and lateral speakers:
- Minx Min22 Cambridge Audio (but might get something better as I want these as they are small but I can get so much better for the same price)

I still dont know which subwoofer, center and receiver but I think Denon AVC-X3800H should work.

Any thoughts about which column should be the better option from those 2 and anyone using this setup already the way I want?

Thanks for the help!

What options do you have in Chile?

And what is the main voltage in Chile?

Have you heard about Dolby digital and Dolby atmos?
And yes, give us the budget, very important.

Thanks for the quick replies!
Room size: 7x4 meters aprox
Main voltage: 220V 50Hz
Max price: $1.500.000 clp or $1.650 usd (just for the columns)
Dolby digital and Dolby atmos: I know the basic about it

Options other than the ones mentioned:
Wharfedale Linton Stand
PARADIGM PREMIER 700F
MAGNAT SIGNATURE 507
INDIANA LINE TESI 6
SONIK 5
Oberon 7
PARLANTES COLUMNA STAGE 260F JBL
Q5040 Q Acoustics
Bronze 300 7G Monitor Audio
Polk Audio R500

Stores available in chile:

Again thanks a lot, there are so many options that is hard to chose.

I would consider buying used from other nearby countries if that open up options for you.

But as it stands alright now I don't feel like your options are all that great for speakers.

I will let others chime in.

The standard for dolby digital is 5.1 you should try to build your system on these foundations.
I've had the Whaferdale Lintons at home and they've also been measured, they're very good speakers, i've had the POLK r200 and r700 at home they're also pretty good, the YT chanel '' erin's audio corner '' tested and measured the r500, it's a reliable tester he makes in depth reviews of quality so have a look at his channel, it was a positive review, he reviewed the Lintons as well and some Elacs. He also made a shootout review of several budget subwoofers, it's a goldmine of informations for a budget system.
Use the search bar on ASR to find other reviews of quality.
Some other nice brands to consider would be ELAC and FOCAL, these brands both have a very good entry level performance, though outside of the EU you might find the ELAC's to be cheaper.
Personally if I had to set up a 5.1 budget system I'd go for 5 ELAC loudspeakers.
If I had to set up a budget stereo system I'd go for the Whaferdale Lintons.
