Hi
I have a Creative Emu 0202 sound card, Edifier MR4 speakers and an Infinity Beta SW-10 subwoofer (pictures attached). Tell me, if I connect the speakers with a 2 TRS - 2 RCA cable to the right and left outputs on the EMU 0202 and the subwoofer to the stereo output, with an AUX to RCA cable to the input on the subwoofer, will this be the correct connection?

Hi @AlSpring! Welcome to ASR.

You can either do Emu->1/4" TRS->MR4 and Emu->Aux to RCA->Sub

or Emu->1/4" TRS->left MR4->Sub high level in->high level out->right MR4

Between these, I'd choose the former.

I tried to connect only Aux to 2 RCA to one of the inputs on the subwoofer. At the same time, music sounds very quietly on the subwoofer except for low frequencies. Is this normal?

Plug the port on MR4, set the sub to 90 Hz and slowly bring it up to match the mains and you are done (at least to what you can do with what you got).

Set the input switch on sub to LFE.

If I select LFE the music gets louder as if it were another speaker. If I switch to Normal it's almost inaudible.
It's probably the same only at different gain. Try normal and both RCA inputs and outputs to it from that creative quasy interface. Where is a low pass set (Hz) set in what you tried to describe?

Not kidding about pluging port's either as that's the only high pass you have. Rest without mic I can't help you.

Thanks for the answers, I'll try different options. I hope this helps.

If it feals of when you do what I said play with a pot for low pass (crossover as stated on sub) by really gently lowering it and trying to make it sound better (in between 80 & 90 and closer to 90).
