Hello everyone.
This is my first post here, but I've spend many hours reading a lot of great informations.
For the past year, I've been involved in field recording as a hobby. And as with every hobby, while it starts off easygoing, the bigger your needs grow, the smaller your bank account gets. I use the Sound Devices MixPre-6 II and the DPA 4060 and Sennheiser MKH 8040 microphones. Until now, I've been listening to the recordings at home with headphones, but it gets tiring after a while. Could you please recommend some studio monitors up to $500-600 (a pair) that I could also use for music if needed? I want the sound to be flat.
As for audio interfaces, I'm torn between the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 4th Gen and the Audient iD4 MKII. Unless you have a better recommendation around the same price range?

Thank you in advance!

Hi @Nasos! Welcome to ASR.

Here's a great website for finding new speakers: https://www.spinorama.org/?shape=bookshelves&page=1&power=active&priceMax=400&sort=score

At $500-600 per pair, I would shortlist the Kali LP-6v2 and Kali IN-5.

Do you need a microphone input at your PC? If not, then you can potentially save some money by buying a simple DAC instead.

FIeld recordings? Whether live concerts or nature sounds, I'd think headphones would be the way to go, unless you are recording in a remote truck.

Edit: My bad... I see now this is for listening afterwards. There are a number of usable studio monitors in that price range.

This might help:
