Hedd Type 07 Mark 2

Our first pair of Hedd’s ‘type2’ designs has arrived the 07.
7” woofer and Hedd’s AMT air motion transformer tweeter.
The type 2 designs can be reflex or closed,

There is a switch on the rear to change the DSp settings between the options,

Actually no, I will connect them up this weekend, I haven’t the older model to compare to though.

Would still be very interested in your thoughts. Any well rated Genelecs to compare with? I know they are a favourite on this site.

You have to hear both for yourself, in very general terms ‘Hedd’ are enjoyable to listen to , the 8351Bs we had here here recently had a slightly ‘flatter’ target and sounded a tiny bit thin in comparison, as to which is more accurate or suitable for your application well you would have to decide.

Understood thanks, Keith. I have RCF Mytho 6 at present. Very happy with them, and technically they appear to be excellent too based on what I've seen but that itch always comes along doesn't it so I'm interested in how alternatives might compare to them...

Good to see the linearizer is now built into the speaker. Looks like everything is there on the electronics and DSP side, as long as they don't hiss. Only real question is how good is the acoustic design.
