I saw weight about 800 grams mentioned for the prototypes, magnets are heavy. Did they manage to get the weight down on the production model?

Can't wait to try these. Also can't wait for measurements. It may be that AMTs are more suitable for headphones than for speakers, oBravo HAMT notwithstanding (Innerfidelity measurements).

HEDD now lists the weight of the phones as 718 grams, which is over a pound and a half. In comparison the HD800S are 330 grams.

Have Keith send me one from across the pond and I will let you know what I think and measure.

FR measurements on a certain system I am not very familiar with and a THD plot only says so much.

Tonality seems to be O.K. maybe a tad light in the bass (when you are a Harman fan).
Distortion seems higher than some planars but is still at very acceptable levels.
We don't know about linearity (at different levels) and anything in impulse response. Thatś where it claims to be superior but like to see some measurements or hear it.
Too expensive for me to buy one just for measurements only.
The weight might put me off as well.

Maybe one day I will hear one somewhere but as I don't visit audio fairs chances are extremely small.

My biggest problem is such a stiff design. I don't know why makers insist on reducing articulation ability. Focal also suffers the same issue.

Folks really need to look at Meze recently did with their Empyreans.
