for a desktop and on side of a 32 zoll monitor in distance of 60 cm, i can not place 8 Zoll speakers. The kali lp6 is the maximumn size i. better is a 5 zoll that can reach 48-50 hz -3 db(because many base drums use this frequency). the kali is 12 db below that on my room.

thes specs of the hedd 05

Frequency response 45Hz - 50kHz
Frequency response ± 1.5dB 52Hz - 20kHz

THD 90dB/1m > 100Hz ≤0.5%
Max SPL sine wave 100Hz - 3kHz /1m ≥103dB
Max SPL peak per pair at 1m ≥111dB C
Crossover frequency 2.3kHz
Weight 7kg (15.5lbs.) Dimensions W x H x D 180mm x 308mm x 228mm)

My kali reach on 100 hz sine tone only max 84 db on my hearing position(only 60 cm away) measure with my sound level meter. in hedd 05 spec stand >103 db with 100 hz too.

it look as a physical dream that such small speakers can go so low and so loud. the only negative side is the price. the hedd 05 cost over 850 $ a pair. so are there maybe other cheaper speakers out that have 6.5 zoll or less and can reach this ?. or are maybe the specs not correct ?. there is a test in italian but can see a frequency diagram that is a dream for 5 and 6 zoll speakers. http://nuke.nonsoloaudiofili.com/HEDDType05SeriesONENearfieldStudioMonitor/tabid/504/Default.aspx

I doubt it extends down that low. Manufacturer always fudge with frequency extension to make the speakers seem to have more bass than it probably has.
