I recently purchased a Samsung S95D 4K Tv.

The tuner box that comes with this TV has one LAN input, one 75 ohm input and several HDMI inputs.

My Spectrum cable box can output a signal in all these formats.

Which one provides the best picture AND sound? I’m guessing it’s NOT the 75 ohm coxial input.

The ARCAM will supposedly upscale video to 8K, and I think this is only video signal processing it offers.

So is it better to use the HDMI input so I can decode the embedded Dolby Digital/DTX-X data in the HDMI stream,
or will these digital soundtracks be decoded as well using the LAN inputs?

From an output standpoint, the AVR will output either an HDMI signal or a LAN signal to the Samsung tuner box.

TIA

Unless your Spectrum cable box, TV, and/or AVR are highly unusual, the LAN port cannot be used how you're describing. That's just for a network connection. For the audio/video, your only real option is to use HDMI. If your cable box actually supports video/audio out of the RF port, that's almost certainly highly limited in terms of the audio/video you can get out of it. It's only really (rarely) used for picking up OTA transmissions, and that would just be the RF port on the TV.

As an aside, why is your entire post in code formatting?
