hello. I have to choose the headphones for music production and listening to music. both of these headphones are cheaper than hd560s and hd600 each (real).
in my country, hd400pro coasts $150 and hd650 coasts double than that. which headphone should I choose? is hd650 worth the double pay? (I always use eq)

Are you sure that is the HD400Pro and not HD400S ?

I haven't tried if it's really possible to get both sound the same with EQ - there are things that you just can't EQ. I don't know how modern HD 650 measures but compared to current HD 560S (i.e. HD 400 Pro) I do prefer my HD 6XX (with current pads, just replaced) over it. HD 650 being not as sensitive is a plus in my book and I find HD 560S treble a bit too clear/boosted. It's not sibilant and quite even but overall a bit boosted thus a bit tiring. That is without EQ an your mileage may vary.

I'd say that HD 560S is HS 595 2.0. Now instead of one clear peak in upper treble, the whole thing is a bit more even and elevated. Can't really spot that much difference in bass probably because my HD 595 has ancient pads.

Probably shouldn't have bought the HD 560S but not that big a deal since it was 129 €.
