I strongly suspect that if you carefully matched the volume you couldn't tell the difference between the ADI-2 DAC headphone out and the THX 789.

You know I am not very good at describing sound. So I will try again to do a better job. When I talk about silence, black I am not talking about between tracks or when nothing is playing. Most amps are silent in that regard. Its when I am playing certain tracks, I will get a since of a deep background, like nothings there. So yes transparency I guess? Its not something I can put my finger on, but its like my senses kinda pick that up. I will be listening to some songs and I go wow. Hard to describe
