Anyone tried this little desktop class d-amp?, I only found about it a few days ago, it was released a couple of years ago to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the original Creek 4040 that was very popular in the UK back in the 80s.
The reason I bring this amp to your attention is it seems to be very well featured for the price, mid sized so ideal for desktop usage, 60w into 8 ohms + 110w into 4 ohm Class D-Amplification, 320v PSU, XLR inputs, very handy to get the most of better DACs, built-in DAC, but the best part, and I haven't seen this option on many amps, you can change a setting in the menu to convert LINE 1 input into a power amp, so ideal if you camp to pair it with headphone amp/dac with pre-out.
It retails in the UK for around £799 although I have an opportunity to get one used for £550, would be thinking to power a pair of Kef LS50 Meta speakers in nearfield.
Would love for this to be tested and reviewed on here.
