Has anyone heard or tried the Vera Fi Vanguard Scort speakers?

Hello, let me tell you, I had my JBL stage A130 with my Fosi BT20A pro amp, I sold them and now I want to buy a new system that means an upgrade to my music listening equipment, I still have my ifi micro isds black label dac which I love, but that is not the issue, the issue is that I need advice on which speakers to buy and what amp will accompany it, I was thinking about those vera fi speakers, vanguard scout, I have read a couple of reviews and a couple of videos and they give a good rating for clean and fatigue-free listening, I was also analyzing to accompany them with a NAD C 316BEE V2 amp, I would like to read you if you recommend these devices or what you can recommend me in an investment of no maximum of $ 700 between both devices.

Don't overspend on the Amp, the majority of your budget should go towards speakers.

Actually, do consider active speakers with built-in Amps.

They routinely offer greater bang for your buck and outright better sound quality than passive.

I believe vera fi is the brand/company operated by diyaudio.com member XRK. He has many speaker designs on that site, most I would argue have some pretty annoying issues and he's only had one speaker measured on klippel (XSA Vangaurd) and it didnt do so hot. His response to the review was pretty disappointing. He tends to have some weird obsession with asymetrical filter slopes in his designs and the Vangaurd review here kind of shed a lot of doubt on his own meaasurements he provides.

Here's the response of the scout, or at least what is provided from the designer. Looks kind of iffy to me. The woofer filter is poor, looks like there's a bit of break up at 2k being let in. He doesn't really ever seem to take into account off axis data so there is none here.

This is a review, listening tests, EQ and detailed measurements of the XSA Labs Vanguard 2-way sealed speaker. It is on kind loan from a member and costs US $999 for a pair.

The bamboo version I have is machined so well that the corners are almost knife sharp! Magnetic grill is a nice touch but for testing, I removed it as you see. Not much to the back panel as to show that it is a sealed design:

Seems like the company name used to be Vera-Fi.
