Too bad there isn’t any objective data/measurements in the article. Erin has data for the KF92, but nothing for the KC92.

Has anybody heard the new KEF KF92 sub? What are your opinions?

I have two of them—what should I say? For this size, there's hardly anything that performs better. No hint of resonance, and even at higher frequencies, you can’t localize this sub. Compared to the KEF Kube 12 MIE I had before (which I initially thought would be enough), the KC92 was a night-and-day upgrade.
The KC92 delivers exceptional impulse response, handling LFE and bass transients with precision.
The Kube, on the other hand, always had this “squashing” effect—after an explosion in a movie at the end of the signal when there is a fast stop, for example. While often masked by other sounds, it became obvious with sustained bass waves, deep drops, or even something as simple as playing Lil Jon - Get Low and stopping the track right on a low sine note. That’s when you’d hear that weird “shlrup” sound—hard to describe, but unmistakable. It's not always there, but once you notice it you can't unhear it.
So yeah, the KC92 is ungodly expensive—but worth it. And if you know how to negotiate, you can probably get 10–20% off from a retailer, sometimes more if you’re a regular. There’s plenty of wiggle room if you go for it.
Edit: Fun fact—I was this close to buying Genelec subs instead. But aesthetically, they just don’t cut it. No matter how you position them, the I/O ports always end up facing an awkward direction. If you rotate them so the ports are hidden at the back, you’re left staring at a plain, flat grey surface. It’s just not a pretty design—definitely not made for living rooms.

I would expect them to be very very similar . Drivers and en box size is very similar ( probably same ) , power is the same , upgraded electronics ?

He he dual KC92 and LS60
perfect application for them however it was a combination deal with a pair of unsold LS60 in charcoal black. Otherwise they are a bit pricey, very very good miniature sub but not competitive re price/performance , but I like them .Similar threads
