I wonder why the market is full of failing speakers if their design is easy?
The market is hardly concerned with making good speakers, it's concerned with making max money and the average joe buying his center speaker couldn't care less about its polar response since he doesn't even know what that means.

White/silver (R series) is the newer.
Sorry, but that is absolutely incorrect. The R Series in-walls are 9 years old, the REFERENCE meta in-walls are brand new.

There should be new R Series meta in-walls being released in the next year or so.

Maybe you should look at the date of the comments you’re replying to.

Well, it was incorrect then as well. The Reference Ci5160REF-THX was released in 2017 (one year after the new Reference series had been released), and the R series THX in-wall models were released in 2014.

Well the R-series (non meta) uses 12th gen Uni-Q. While the Reference series (non meta) uses 11th gen Uni-Q.

Unless you provide a reliable source from KEF that the old Reference in walls used 12th gen for some reason then we’re gonna agree to disagree.
