Hi. Anyone had luck controlling their SMSL DAC (hardware) volume using the USB interface? The Sanskrit 10th MKⅢ does not seem to expose its volume control over USB (see output from amixer below). I have come across reports online that this was possible with the MKII version, and other SMSL DAC models.
debian@debian:~$ amixer -c 1 controls
numid=3,iface=CARD,name='Keep Interface'
numid=2,iface=CARD,name='SMSL Internal Clock Validity'
numid=1,iface=PCM,name='Playback Channel Map'
debian@debian:~$ amixer -c 1 contents
numid=3,iface=CARD,name='Keep Interface'
; type=BOOLEAN,access=rw------,values=1
: values=off
numid=2,iface=CARD,name='SMSL Internal Clock Validity'
; type=BOOLEAN,access=r-------,values=1
: values=on
numid=1,iface=PCM,name='Playback Channel Map'
; type=INTEGER,access=r----R--,values=2,min=0,max=36,step=0
: values=0,0
| container
| chmap-fixed=FL,FR
Bonus question: anyone have an idea of what the "Keep Interface" is?
