Have this nice killer DAC, playing ok in all formats, but..
Wheni try to connect via the firmware tool on W10 Pro 64 pc on usb 2.0 port, i get the splas screen,,"Can't connect". Its right there in sound settings and playing all is good..exept this. And yes, Have done some chat to some tech peaple over there in China, That's was no good!
Is there anyone that can tell me how to do it right, it will be awesome, thnks

Unsure if it's going to help here but for the Khadas Tone Board you had to uninstall the driver and install the eval copy of the Thesycon to be able to flash the f/w. But, if everything works, I'd just leave it alone as with every f/w update comes the risk of bricking the device.

Is there any benefit from upgrading the firmware? Any known issues to be solved?

This DAC has the ESS USB interface ?
The tool for fw update seems to be from ESS.
But the driver is simillar with Thesycon one.
