Anyone else by chance had theirs just not work all of a sudden?

Yesterday I had sound all day and then an hour later all of a sudden nothing.
I am connected through optical cable from my computer.
Hooked up to a Presonus Temblor 10 sub and Kali Audio IN-8 V2 monitors.

I tried a new optical cable and nothing.
I used an old pair of crappy computer speakers with the 3.5mm jack into the green plug on the MOBO and I have sound.
I guess next thing is to try and get sound through the DAC by using the USB connection only problem is I don't have a cable long enough right now.
I understand using USB can be nightmarish some times so I am going to pickup a 3.5mm to dual rca so worst comes to worst I can go directly into my SUB.

The first thing I'd try is using the PC's Toslink output with another DAC, or using the DAC-X16 with another Toslink source.

Thanks but I don't have another DAC.

I hooked up VIA USB and it works again.
Windows 10 recognized it right away and everything is working right again.
Tells me it's either the optical on my mobo or the DAC is not working.
