I have a low-level but disruptive ground loop that I'm trying to get rid of on the unbalanced side when using my headphones.
Antelope Zen Quadro (Balanced Monitor Out TRS) -> Speakers (Balanced TRS)
Antelope Zen Quadro (Balanced Line Out TRS) -> Headphones (Unbalanced RCA)
Then the headphones get more complicated as I have a THX789 as my primary amp (XLR/RCA in, RCA out), Xduuo TA66 tube amp (RCA, RCA pre out), Stax energizer (RCA in). Right now I'm using a DF Audio Minibay v2 I had as a patchbay so I can route the THX789/Stax as either a clean signal or via the preamp out of the TA66. Theoretically I could do the same for my speakers, although it is not connected that way. Right now, all of my devicse are connected to two surge protectors coming from the same wall receptical, with PC connected devices on one and the rest on the other, which leaves my interface as the probably connection point between the two (right now, it is receiving data on USB from the PC and using a seperate USB-PD plug on its secondary USB input for power).
What I'm finding is poor reviews on the cheaper "hum destroyer" or isolation devices with regard to affecting the sound quality, leaving me to find the Radio StageBug SB-6 or Morley MHE 2-Channel Hum Eliminator as baseline options to do the job, albeit at more than I wanted to spend ($100 to $150).
Does anyone have any reocmmendations of other routes to take? Experience with the SB6 or MHE2? I feel like it shouoldn't be this complicated, but re-routing cables hasn't done the job yet.
