https://www.audioholics.com/tower-speaker-reviews/grimani-rixos popped into my feed and I noticed that they provide a spinorama for their Rixos M that seems really good. Anyone has experience with this brand?
Audioholics review states the following:I've been trying to learn more about them, but I haven't really found a solid price sheet anywhere to see if they could possibly be within my means. In general I like what I see.
Thanks! That's definitely in the range where I would make a DIY inspired by the Rixos unless I had a major change in circumstances.Audioholics review states the following:
- MSRP: $8,200/each - Rixos-L, $3,900/each and up - Rixos-H

Did you see it confirmed somewhere that it uses the 6fe100 and not some custom variant? I’ll agree they sure look like it, but the Dutch and Dutch 8c woofer looks an awful lot like the Dayton Reference RS225 but when you see them side by side it’s clear they aren’t identical.
Good to hear that! Please report your findings! That sure looks convincing on the Grimani!
I have the 6FE100 here and am trying to get a box together to test it against the RS225 (which I also have and have tested- pretty great driver!) and the 8c, which I have on short term loan.
Hearing that the 6FE100 is in the Grimani definitely gives me some motivation to get back on my testing. Thanks!
What is not clear is what kind of ADC/DAC and amplifier is used in this system.
Do you know any other high quality AMP+DSP rack mounted amplifier? I
A much lower cost DIY alternative is feasible with dome Dayton AMP+DSP, Faital woofer, SB Acoustics tweeter and some open source waveguides like the ones from @augerpro
Why do you care? It’s an active design with suitable electronics.
I don’t know if they’ve officially said what it is, but it’s not hard to figure out….
Yes, a bunch of them.
That would be a very different loudspeaker. The Grimani waveguide is very different from Brandon’s. That not a knock on either. They just have different dispersion targets.
-. Why not caring about the ADC/DAC/AMP?
Because it doesn’t matter. If it wasn’t suitable they wouldn’t use it. We’re talking about serious people here, not some “high end” ignorant nut jobs.
Well, ASR has clearly proven otherwise.I believe what he meant was that serious manufacturers use suitable electronics, no matter what they are. It therefore doesn't matter.

Lots of manufacturers that have overpriced products that underperform. From speakers to amplifiers and DAC's.How?
