I have been exploring different sets of Beethoven symphonies. There are endless ones. I am currently really enjoying one by Jan Willem de Vriend conducting the Netherlands Symphony Orchestra. The set includes Beethoven's concertos too. Some people online, including professionals, rate it highly. The best part is that you can purchase a CD-quality download of the whole thing for $4 (USD) from 7digital.com, which is a large British company that mainly supplies music to other companies to sell/stream/use. They use Paypal, so that is very secure, if you worry about such things. Also, Qobuz offers the set for $5, if you are used to them.

That's a great buy! Those are excellent performances!
I grabbed these as well. £3.49 in the UK for the FLAC versions of the nine CDs. They sounded wonderful through my Hifiman Edition XS headphones late last night. The CD set is currently £28 on Amazon in the UK so this is a fine deal. Thanks.

A word of caution. I bought a couple other Beethoven Symphony Cycles, Rattle/BP and Haitnik/LSO, in 24/96 Flac. Both had some tracks that either had loud crackles or went silent after a couple minutes. I contacted support. I stated I would prefer to get fixed versions of the downloads or, failing that, refunds. They stated they were processing refunds. They didn't offer to look into the problematic files. As is usual, processing of refunds to credit cards can takes days, so I can't confirm absolutely that they will show up.
Another word of caution. Although some older music I bought is still available in my account for re-download, some music purchased just a couple weeks ago appears in my library on the site, but states it is no longer available for download. Looking at the site, some of that music has disappeared from the offerings.
My conclusion is be prepared for a possible issue. If you buy anything, download it right away and listen to all of it to make sure it's okay. That said, I still think they're a good option for purchasing music. I also buy downloads from PrestoMusic.com, qobuz.com, and eclassical.com, among others. As prices can vary hugely between sites, I comparison shop on every potential purchase. Sometimes, it is significantly cheaper to buy physical CDs through Amazon or other online merchants.
