Great Album Covers

Oh great god, most are at the level of what you'd expect to see on the front cover of dime store detective novels or on the cover of True Crime Magazine. They are the equivalent of the back inside page of comic books where there are ads that sell magic tricks and whoopie cushions. Mostly what I see here are geared for adolescent boys. I can see you guys flipping through the LP's at Tower Records your mouth watering over the covers. Sure, there are a couple winners--a couple of them have class, but the majority wouldn't make it as posters for a carnival side-show. Here's a couple of covers:

Obviously, “Bitches Brew” is an album with talented musicians directed by a gifted leader, rightfully called a genius by many. Mati Klarwein’s cover art is stellar as well.

Especially note worthy as their album covers are paintings done by the lead singer Paul Roberts.
